My God, Moving Is Hard!

Okay, my ass is officially kicked. I totally underestimated the amount of time and energy it would take to move to a city a mere 400 miles away. Every spare moment has been about packing, arranging and spending money on things that I need but can't afford. When exactly did boxes become pricey commodities? Anyhoo, I'm now in LA but I'm in no way settled. My son will be joining me here on Monday and I'm committed to getting the place together before he gets here. That means more sleepless nights except now I'll be spending my time unpacking and assembling Ikea furniture.
Oh, and my book's about to be released. I really should be focusing on that too..."should be" being the key words of that statement. Eventually I'll get myself together and I'll be able to concentrate on my career again. I apologize for all the messages and phone calls I haven't returned---that will improve with time too.
But all that aside---I'm really excited about this. I feel like I'm starting over and going on this totally insane adventure. I have NO idea how it will turn out, but I'm doing it! I'm at Starbucks right now (I don't have a phone line or internet service at my new place yet) and next to me is an agent talking to an aspiring actress/potential client. To my left are a couple of screenwriters shooting the breeze. This is LA baby and I'm living it!
