Anne Frasier, MySpace and My Boy

So did everyone have a fabulous Labor Day weekend? Mine was actually rather nice. I didn’t do anything major, just hung out with my boy. Anyhoo, I have a couple of items of business for you all.

First and foremost, fellow GCC member, Anne Frasier, is doing her cyber tour today promoting her new book, Pale Immortal. She has asked all of us Girlfriends to post the following very-cool-video, so enjoy!


As for me, I am now officially a MySpace gal! Yes, I know: it took me long enough. I actually registered for a page months ago and have been ignoring it. A few people asked to be my “friend” during that time but I hadn’t figured out how the whole thing works so know that if you are one of those people who made that request my lack of response was not a personal rejection. It was just me being completely stupid when it comes to computers and the latest internet craze. Speaking of being stupid, I can NOT figure out how to invite people to be my MySpace friend. I seem to be able to accept people’s requests to be my friend but that’s it. MySpace won’t import my address book (although there’s a tab that says I can) and even when I enter in the emails separately it won’t send my invites…grrrrr. Ironically I was able to send one to myself when I was trying to test it out.

I don’t know why but the God of Technology HATES me. Anyway, if you want to be my friend come visit me at my page and I’ll be happy to accept your request and if you have any suggestions as to how I can improve the page I have or how I can SEND OUT MY FRIGGIN INVITATIONS then I’d love to hear about it.

On a much lighter, less frustrating note my son started school today! Yea!!!!! He is one of two new children in a class of ten. He and the other new boy bonded immediately so I’m very hopeful. They’re starting off the school year with a party so in an hour I’ll be grabbing some blintzs and heading up to the school for a potluck in the woods. Okay, the school isn’t really in “the woods,” but I’m a city girl at heart and thus consider any area that has more than five trees grouped together the “woods.”

But city girl or not I do know that bulls don’t have udders so that puts me ahead of many of the folks making movies at Nickelodeon.
