(its when they have actors pretending to do bad things in front of civilians with a hidden camera to see if anyone would try to stop it). Look it up on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dvzj8wyZ9PI
you would be surprised at how many people just watch and walk by not doing a thing :(

btw i hope those women you talked about turned out okay! my godOlivia Foulkeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02357526837765664837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10992888.post-35282307491935414012010-03-11T11:46:51.892-08:002010-03-11T11:46:51.892-08:00Exactly. I read an article in the SF Chronicle about how some people over-use 911. They gave examples of calls that were made to 911 that didn't need to happen. They were ridiculous. Here's an example of one: "There's been a horrible accident! At least three cars are involved and there are police cars and firetrucks everywhere!" Well, obviously if the police and fire fighters are already there you don't need to call and ask them to come. That's being a total idiot. But if there's an accident and the police AREN'T there then calling couldn't hurt.kyradavishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11564245025938264405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10992888.post-15328868870413247982010-03-10T19:26:08.529-08:002010-03-10T19:26:08.529-08:00When I drive on the highway and see a car or two t...When I drive on the highway and see a car or two that are on the side of the road with people stranded, in an accident, or just plain car trouble, I call 911. Just because you often hear of a person getting run over because people aren't paying attention. It is always best to have a cop show up with their blinking lights and safety measures that some people don't have (like road flares) to avoid more issues. I used to feel weird about calling 911, b/c you hear of people getting fined for prank calling or falsely calling...but I realized that those people were legitimately doing wrong, where as I am trying to do something good. I don't hesitate anymore. Like you said...better to be safe than sorry. We need to look out for each other, and if I were stranded on the side of the road, or stuck in a ditch, I would hope someone would call for me.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14483473152304959281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10992888.post-10122914687330191222010-03-04T18:46:38.690-08:002010-03-04T18:46:38.690-08:00I'm really glad that Hero did something. At least 20 people stood around and watched multiple boys brutalize and rape a teenage classmate outside a building during a school dance. It took some girl overhearing other teens talking about the story at a party later that evening to finally call the police. It is so sad and unbelievable. Thank you to Hero and to you for calling 911 and doing the right thing. You both probably saved some lives.LPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12462122589394769582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10992888.post-47627466893758623972010-03-04T16:30:31.756-08:002010-03-04T16:30:31.756-08:00Dr. Phil just had a show on lack of moral characte...Dr. Phil just had a show on lack of moral character on today and these people could have been the stars of the show.

He talked about the 15 year old girl in Seattle that was getting her head beat in and the security there were supposed to do nothing. Hero was telling me how surprised he was that those witnesses didn't hang out to tell the police what they had seen but I didn't find that part surprising at all. On some level they knew how badly they had messed up and they didn't want to be put in the position of having to explain themselves. Of course the best way to avoid being put in that position is not to behave in ways that require a lot of explanation. Be a decent person and do what's right. In situations like this it really shouldn't be hard to figure out what that is.kyradavishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11564245025938264405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10992888.post-90059532244368416322010-03-04T12:48:45.004-08:002010-03-04T12:48:45.004-08:00You are so right!
